"Chilaka Palukulu "(Parrot 's parlance) is an anthology of short and sweet poems , designed for the tity tots in sweet and pretty words ...teaching, preaching, cajoling  and convincing on dos and don'ts of decent and cultured life.

The anthology contains 27 poems and each one teaches a life lesson! The poem'

Sanketham'(indication) tells us  how white teeth are beautiful  pearlies of the gums! 'Corona kaalam ' mourns the deprivation of school days,Temple, play and pastimes;' Amma ..Bomma 'is a cherubic expression of a  mother's love in caressing the little child...' you are my Bangaaru Bomma, kondapally Bomma,Baapu Bomma... and why other dolls!!  'Parimalam 'is another number which speaks on the delicate linguistic preferences! Poems like 'Molaka,' 'Chettu -Ottu' ,'Uniki','Naarikelam 'are the  kindergarten lessons on the greenery, and the myriad forms of benefits they offer... from fruit, vegetables, flowers to timber to eco system..are the rosy

rhymes of  life long relevance for all.

' Vellu(roots)' is another ruby which tells the bio of Bapu in nutshell and his embodiment  in our collective consciousness!!

Plastic ni tharimeddam(

Let's drive away plastic)Uttaram,Telusukondi pillalu,Vyadha ,aduru choopu, and eldamostavaaa....are all lyrical  and lovely expressions on different emotions ,feelings ,bonds estrangements etc ,  of the modern society and family.

Dr KLV Prasad, a known short story writer, poet , columnist and writer is an adept in feeling the pulse and reading the psychology of the children, and accordingly moulded his rhymes -like poems in language suitable to the children...in simple, straight, sweet lucid and common words.

Dr Prasad exploited the expertise  of our traditional ways of telling stories by the grandparents to their grandchildren at bedtime to inculcate the values and ideals of our culture and heritage. Here, Dr Prasad employed the same technique but the format is  different...rhymes- like....in poetry.

However,it is  a very tough task to write for the children whose understanding, interest and appreciation is uncertain and hard to catch.Luckily, Dr Prasad is successful in his die hard efforts!

The Cover design  with a Parrot on a myke stand facing tiny tot Aanshi in playway posture,by the well known cartoonist Sarasi, foreword by a learned mentor Sri T Vedanta Soori, a critical and constitutive appraisal of the book by Ms Jhansi Koppishetti,(Australia) ,and the expressive and meaning ful photos of Chi Aanshi Nallie on each page ...are additional attractions in arresting the attention of the audience (readers).
